LLURITU is a mid-range seafood restaurant with a casual, even festive atmosphere, with the added value of wood-fire cooking as its protagonist. The gastronomic offer consists of a summary of the best products and creations of the Spanish coasts (and Madrid), with a short menu and a clear focus on specialization. The grill and griddle, and the absence of stoves, define our style. A style with minimal or no garnish on the plates.

We believe in a cuisine focused on the soul of the product over its quality. Outrageous, isn’t it? The word quality should be sacred! Yes, but never at the expense of the soul, the “savoir faire”, the warmth, complicity, family, and those table conversations that fill you with joy?

The name: Lluritu


LLURITU is a very funny fish with reddish scales and bulging eyes that measures between 12 and 16 centimeters long.

LLURITU is a fish you can find in the Balearic Islands, in Almería, and, sometimes, in Maresme. In fact, it is also known as raor, lorito, galán, papagayo or pámpano. We call it Lluritu (incorrectly spelled) because it sounds fun, beautiful, charismatic and Catalan.

Its taste and texture are unique: very white meat similar to that of the Sole fish, fat and softly iodized. Surely, its most characteristic feature is its gelatinous skin that melts in the mouth as if it was Iberian bacon. It can be cooked on the grill or fried with a light batter. They are fished with a hook, one by one.
